Today we’d like to introduce you to Adia Maenpaa
Hi Adia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started posting on my Youtube channel called adia_ava 1.5 years ago. I always liked learning new dances that were trending on social media, so I started posting them on YouTube Shorts. When I kept on filming and posting more videos, I noticed that they were getting quite many views. I stayed consistent, and now I’ve made many shorts that have gone viral, and I have around 12 million views on my channel. I recently made a short on YouTube with 2024 dance trends which ended up getting over 2.2 million views. It became a trend on YouTube, and now there are about 110k videos of people dancing to the sound I made. I’ve also started to get pr packages from brands and paid-collaborations. Last week I made a dance short to a popular country artists song and I got paid for it. By doing what I love, I’ve been able to earn money and get over 30k subscribers on my YouTube channel.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Everything’s gone smoothly overall, but I’ve had some challenges on the way. At one point YouTube deleted my most viral video which got 3 million views. I asked YouTube why they took it down and they said that the sound that I used in it was deleted from YouTube so they deleted all of the videos using the sound as well. I wasn’t able to get my most viral video back, but later I made many other videos that got millions of views.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a YouTuber/content creator with over 30k subscribers. I create fun content on YouTube for others to watch. I do lots of TikTok dances and other fun videos like vlogs, gymnastics videos, tutorials, challenges etc. I’m known on YouTube for dancing to trending music and making dance challenge videos where I dance to a sound where I added the most trending dance songs. I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve been able to have fun creating many dance videos and other videos which many people enjoy watching. YouTube has also helped me become better at dancing because I learn new dances almost every week which I can post there. I’m also a model at Entourage Model and Talent Agency.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My mom has given me lots of advice as she’s famous in Finland. It’s also good to tag other YouTuber’s in your videos if you, for example use their sound or do a dance that they created because then they can comment on your videos and you can make connections with them.
