Conversations with Alexander Peters

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexander Peters.

Hi Alexander, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
For as long as I could remember, fashion has always been a part of who I am. Born to a Belizean mother and a Nigerian father, a sense of fashion was way more than just a hobby or a necessity to me… it’s a way of life. From a young age, I was instantly drawn into fashion and shoes were mostly a big part of it. In 2019, I got in shoe game from a gigantic leap of faith and a massive amount of time, effort and capital… and support from friends and family. The rest is history. My biggest dream is to design dresses worthy enough to grace the Met Gala and such… but for now, I’m grateful just seeing people interested in my shoes and apparel.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, the hardest part and still is… getting my brand to the masses.

Social media has been my source of advertising but I’m hoping to add more sources and mediums to advertise my brand.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Currently designing Italian shoes, heels and soon apparel. My full-cut heels are to die for… and also my pride and joy. When I decided to design a product, my biggest concern is to pour a bit of my soul into each and every product. My motto is “walk with me”.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
No… not really. I have various people who inspire me but mentor-wise, no one hasn’t stepped into the picture yet.
