Hi Amy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I always had a love for Earths beauty & people. There is something so beautiful about people and the connections we make. The memories we make. Being able to take a picture of a precious memory leaves you with an image of time frozen for generations to come. I started photography in High School. It was just a hobby and something I loved. I would spend hours editing simply because I wanted to. When I graduated high school & began college, I knew that photography had to be something I pursued even if it was part time while I did college. I began taking clients and learning every step of the way. There were days where I would sit and stare at my computer feeling completely defeated because my edits were slightly off, or the pictures weren’t exactly how I wanted, or no one had booked me for that month. I continued to push through because it was something I still loved and I felt it was my calling in life. Months went by and I found myself booking more and more opportunities. With each one, I was learning and still am today. Here I am today a little less than a year later feeling so incredibly blessed and grateful of this dream I was had that has now become my reality.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a truly bumpy road. There was weeks where I would get zero bookings and I felt like a failure. Like maybe this wasn’t what I’m meant to do in life. I would check my email constantly just waiting for someone to take a chance on me.

I take pride in providing a safe space during each session and wedding. At weddings, I am running around helping in any other way I can if needed. I am ensuring YOU as the Bride/Couple get to enjoy your day and soak in every moment. I remind you how beautiful you are and keep the energy up while we’re shooting. For my seniors, I am planning out your session with details, locations, outfits. I am ensuring you feel at ease through it ALL! When you work with me, you shouldn’t feel stressed at all but rather confident and comfortable through it all.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as feeling fulfilled in life. There is no right answer to what success is. Achieving whatever goals you have made for yourself.
