Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Velasco.
Hi Anna, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I do deliveries, and during the pandemic, I had to slow down with my deliveries. I was at home like everyone else and had to start doing something to make up for the money I could not make. I was watching Youtube, and a video about making blankets with chunky yarn was playing next, so after watching it. I thought I could do a blanket?. The first blanket I did was a disaster, so I kept trying, and now three years later, I no longer just make blankets. I love doing it because when a customer tells me, “OMG, it’s so soft and cozy,” I’m happy they love the product. I also have scarves and hats and started making slippers, and this year I’m going to include my new line of pet beds.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
Nothing is ever smooth; at the beginning, I had to start my projects over, which frustrated me because I like to do things the correct way. I don’t want anyone to get one of my products and not like it for one reason or another. I’m learning with time, and I’ve gotten better. I was able to create different items seamlessbyav.
Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your work.
I create different things to keep me occupied. I’m most proud of how far I’ve gotten with projects and new adventures. I set myself apart from everyone else with my turnaround time. I try to have it done in 2-3 days unless it is a big project needing more time.
