Today we’d like to introduce you to Clay Caster.
Hi Clay, can you please start by introducing yourself? We’d love to hear more about your journey to where you are today.
When I was only 15, I started playing bars and clubs in the Hill Country and surrounding Austin areas, just giving my take on a new traditional country/folk sound that seems to have turned several heads in the industry regarding songwriting. Now, I’m sharing it all over Texas and the United States. Twelve years of hard work in this business has taken me to several cool places- 14 states just in the past few years!
We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The Music Business isn’t a Smooth Road for Anyone. But I guess for me, it would be my previous struggle with Drug addiction. I held myself back from so much, and at the time, I felt I was getting so much accomplished by being “Sped Up” all the time. Eventually, I crashed and burned like every drug addict will do Eventually. Now that I’m Clean and Sober, the authenticity of my music is Reaching new Heights, and the opportunities I’m getting are amazing! It’s A feeling that no one can achieve synthetically.
Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us more about your work. next
I’m A Singer/ Songwriter and Considered a “Cult Figure,” especially by other Writers and Musicians.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My dad plays steel guitar, my brother plays piano, my stepmom and all of her family sing, and I would say any of the times we all got together and had a “Front Porch” Style Family Jam Session! I would say that’s a winner!
