Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Lehman.

Corey Lehman

Hi Corey, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I moved to Austin in December of 2019 pursuing the film industry as a film and lighting technician gather but soon after the world shutdown I landed on my feet as a real estate photographer. I live in Brooklyn New York city now I lived in Austin for about 3 years.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a lot of ups and downs for sure and austin was a struggle because there was such a lack of community but i did find some lifelong friends there and hang out with them. It was difficult for me to establish a business there i think because of covid but also it was just tough to find people who were interested. While there is rented out Austin Photo Studio and worked at a podcast studio editng podcasts and shooting photos in studio and around the city. I love the arts wherever I go and Austin has a great scene though really small.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I rebranded my company it’s called Onlooker Media now. I specialize in Script to screen production, crowdfunding consultation, Casting for fashion shows and films & Talent managment for artists!

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I use adobe lightroom mobile for what i need to edit on the go like traveling right now.

There are few books that I remember being really important in my growth as a photographer and filmmaker they are understanding raw photography by david taylor the book called creative lighting and a book called shut up and shoot how to make documentary films.
