Today we’d like to introduce you to It’s F***n Hard Out Here Podcast.

It’s F***n Hard Out Here Podcast

Hello, It’s F***n Hard Out Here; we appreciate you sharing your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We’re brand new to this game. This idea came to us while listening to podcasts at the washeteria, waiting for our clothes to finish. So many things we listened to or watched would highlight successful folks preaching: give it your all, give everything up, and go for your dreams! And while that is all understandable and valid, we were more interested in the details of the struggle of these journeys. How were these people surviving and getting by while working towards their dreams? This is us getting those answers and going for our dream with our bit of free time. We want to talk with everyday people about where they’ve been, what they have gone through, and how they’re just going. We love the discussions podcasts have created and enjoy being in that realm. We just picked up our phones, hit record, and started talking. We’re slowly building our production capacity, but in the meantime, it is still very young. We appreciate our friends who have been with us and supported the show.

Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We have limited experience in this field, and there have been plenty of mishaps and human errors in the process. As mentioned before, our production capacity is still very young. We’ve had audio recording, video recording, and importing and exporting issues because this is an entirely new experience for us, and we’re just dying it. It has been smooth in that we were able to roll this out into action and have several episodes up and streaming.

Thanks for sharing that. So, you could tell us a bit more about your work.
Our work lives are entirely different from what we’re doing here. One of us works a desk job in quality assurance, and the other works as a general manager in a restaurant. We have these jobs to pay the bills and pay for our hobbies. Neither of us have any specialties. We’re regular folks with a handful of hobbies and interests. I, Joel Morales, am most proud of kicking my alcoholism, to be honest. The love and support I have around me played a huge role in that. But some of those who supported me didn’t even know I had an issue or they were helping me. So I took a lot of the task on myself. I, Karena, am proud to have been able to take back control of my life for me and my children. I was very recently in an abusive marriage for over a decade, and I feel like I’m just getting started.

Please talk to us about happiness and what makes you happy.
For me, Joel, I like it when everyone is happy and relaxed. I’m not taking consciousness so seriously and just being happy. But that also requires that no one intentionally or unintentionally harm anyone else. But often, when I’m surrounded by people (especially loved ones) and everyone is safe, calm, and pleasant, I’m the happiest. I, Karena, love to experience new things and know my kids are thriving in a better environment. Because living is such a crazy thing to do, and I’m so glad we get to do it this way.
