Hi James, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
James Sun, the culinary visionary and mastermind behind Cedro Italian and its two sister restaurants, Mia Italian Tapas & Bar (located at The Domain) and Fig Italian ( South Lamar).

With over decades-long passion for serving Hospitality industry, James has already captured the hearts (and taste buds!) of Austinites and beyond. His restaurants, known for their in-house, made-from-scratch dishes, offer a fresh take on refreshingly modern, yet authentic Italian cuisine.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As an restaurant owner never a smooth road, always challenger ahead of us. To find right clientele, right people to work, provide excellent food and service are mine daily task.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Cedro has been in business 11 years, Mia has been in business 9 years, Fig is only 7 month since we open back on 7 2024

all pasta are made in house daily, We are proud to serve all the food scratch made in house, always provide personal service

Pricing:

  • Cedro price average is 30-40 per person
  • Mia price average is 35-45 per person
  • Fig price average is 50
