We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been easy. I’ve audition for every televised singing show such as The Voice, American Idol, X Factor, and Americans Got Talent but was not selected for airtime starting from high school to as recent as 2020. This is why I just decided to pursue music on my terms because the industry is changing. As a singer and songwriter, I can naturally produced bodies of work on a consistent basis so I decided to just flood the marketplace with great music. For years, I’ve worked on my craft so now I’m ready to shake the industry up as an independent artist with or without televised exposure.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m blessed enough to have recently had people want features from me and I also have been getting booked for shows consistently, I’ve been blessed to have opportunities to pitch songs to a few mainstream artists who I can’t disclose until our record drops next year. Currently, I’m most proud of being selected to perform for BET Award weekend in 2022. I feel what sets me apart is that the industry has been saturated with rap and hiphop over recent year and we love it but many listeners miss R&B as well as music that makes people feel something and I provide that. Though some new and amazing male R&B artist have been gaining popularity such as Brent Fiayaz, Giveón, and Lucky Daye, I aspire to be in the list of outstanding new artists of this generation. Hopefully this exposure, helps me achieve that.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Perseverance and Discipline. I have not made it to the level in this industry that I aspire but to achieve that I have to always be ready for the opportunity. Stay ready, never have to get ready is my motto. I try to workout 5x a week and do yoga to keep my body and voice strong. I’m also learning instruments so that I never get comfortable and continue to learn new ways of improving my craft.
