Conversations with Jordan Miller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Miller.

Hi Jordan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been able to feel energy and read people since I was a child, but for the longest time I kept it quiet, hidden. This was just how I moved through the world. When I moved to Texas in 2017, something shifted. In 2019 I was dog sitting for a lady who had a friend who did reiki under the usui lineage, suddenly everything I’d been doing instinctively my whole life had names, lineage, and structure. The lady I dogsat for became a mentor, a friend and family. She introduced me to someone in the sound healing industry, in the same year, taking me to my first ever sound bath, where that person played the Ferrari of singing bowls (alchemy bowls). She trained under Eileen McKusick and John Buileau who both have their own tuning fork protocols. So she took that knowledge from both teachers and created her own modality. For the first time, the path made sense, and in that moment I knew that’s why I was meant to do.
The real turning point came a few years later, after losing someone I loved deeply. The grief, the legal battles, the way trauma lodged itself in my nervous system it broke me open in a way nothing else could. I saw firsthand how unresolved pain distorts the auric field and keeps people stuck in loops they can’t name. That darkness became the fire that forged Komara Healing.
Today, Komara is a vibrational healing practice where I blend Reiki, Poly-Vibrational Tuning with my collection of therapeutic tuning forks, crystal harp, Tibetan bowls, shamanic drums and intuitive energy work to help people release stored tension, trauma, and distortion from the nervous system, emotional body, and energetic field. My sessions guide people back to their own natural frequency so they can feel lighter, clearer, and truly at home in themselves again.
I do this because returning people to their own rhythm, using sound and energy the way I learned and grew through the practices is my soul’s purpose. I’m proud that Komara has become a sanctuary where people finally feel safe enough to remember who they are.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road at all.
Leaving the illusion of safety that comes with a 9-to-5 was terrifying. Even though that life was slowly killing my soul, at least the paycheck showed up on time and people understood what I did when I told them. Starting Komara meant walking away from all of that into total uncertainty, months where I wasn’t sure I could cover bills, savings disappearing. Dog sitting on the side to keep afloat the dream of helping people.
The bigger struggle, though, has been trying to explain what I actually do in a world that still thinks “energy work” and “sound healing” are either fairy dust, woo woo or outright scams. I’ve had people laugh in my face, tell me “sound can’t change anything,” or warn me I’m going to end up broke because “this isn’t real medicine.” Marketing something that asks people to feel instead of just think is exhausting especially when most of the population has been trained to dismiss anything that doesn’t come in a pill or a surgery.
There were weeks I questioned everything. But every time someone walked out of a session lighter, telling me they finally felt like themselves again, that keeps me going. The road is still bumpy as hell, but I’m no longer willing to betray what I know is true just to make other people comfortable.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At Komara Healing, I support people in returning to their natural frequency through a blend of Usui Reiki, Poly Vibrational Tuning, therapeutic tuning forks, crystal and Tibetan bowls, and intuitive energy fieldwork. My sessions work with the nervous system, the emotional body, and the auric layers so the person can release what no longer belongs to them and reconnect with their own clarity and rhythm.

What I am known for is the way these practices come together. Reiki, tuning forks, and energy fieldwork each have long histories on their own. When they are woven with intention, they create a deeper level of presence and healing. Poly Vibrational Tuning emerged from years of listening, studying, and trusting what the field shows during a session. It is a living modality that responds to the person rather than a fixed protocol.

What sets Komara apart is the experience of being met fully. The work is gentle when the system needs gentleness and direct when deeper clearing is ready to happen. Every session is a co-creation with the client’s own energy. I am proud that people leave feeling more like themselves and often say they feel seen, safe, and supported in ways they have not felt before.

Komara has grown into the kind of sanctuary I once needed for my own healing. Now I offer that space to others who are ready to remember who they are.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Luck has shown up in my life in interesting ways. My astrology chart, numerology, and even my palms all point to a pattern of being naturally fortunate, and I have seen that play out many times. Opportunities tend to appear at the exact moment I need them, and even when life has taken me into very difficult places, something has always guided me through or opened a path I could not see before.

I would say my luck is less about random chance and more about alignment. When I follow my intuition and stay connected to what feels true, things fall into place with surprising ease. When I ignore that inner guidance, life gets louder until I return to where I am meant to be.

In business, that same pattern shows up. The right clients find me without force. Teachers and mentors appear at the perfect time. Even the turning points that looked like bad luck at first eventually revealed themselves as catalysts that grew my work and deepened my purpose.

So yes, I am lucky, but I experience it as a kind of dialogue with the universe. When I stay aligned, receptive, and willing to learn, life meets me with support every time.
