Conversations with Lindsey Smith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Smith.

Hi Lindsey , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Ever since I was a flower girl in a wedding, at 6 maybe,I’ve loved weddings! Always dreamed of owning one.
Fast forward 30+ years and my husband and I owned a horse boarding facility in Manor.A highschool was built backing up to our land and soon the developers came knocking with offers. We got one we could not refuse, took one look at The Taylor Mansion, and knew we had to take the chance.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not! We had nothing to do with the wedding industry before so things that I had used to plan our wedding almost 20 years ago were now not as relevant. We had to create a new website, start over on social media and learn the best way to market ourselves.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I think of myself as a glorified gardener around here. It is never ending work that I love!! Our gardens really set us apart, but also we come with alot in our rental.Tables, chairs, linens are all included. We have no employees,my husband and I are the only ones doing the work. We are very hands on with our brides!

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
I am always on Facebook looking for couples in my groups that may not know about us that I can reach out to.
