Ah, my journey into the world of travel is quite the adventure! It all started when I was just a little explorer, glued to catalogs and spellbound by the exotic locations in movies and TV shows. Despite having few family trips under my belt, my fascination with distant lands only grew stronger. Fast forward to my early 20s, and I finally spread my wings and took flight, quite literally! Traveling quickly became my passion—I couldn’t get enough of discovering new places, indulging in delicious cuisines, and immersing myself in diverse cultures. Around 2015, a lightbulb moment struck me! Fueled by my insatiable wanderlust, I realized I needed to kick things up to jet-set to more dream destinations. So, I hatched a brilliant plan to start a business to fund my globe-trotting adventures! Thus, my Photo Booth rental company was born (MBP Photo Booth).
Little did I know it would soon become my full-time gig, bringing smiles and laughter to countless events while fueling my passion for exploration. Now, as my business gears up to celebrate its 10th birthday next year (double digits, woohoo!), I find myself basking in the joy of being my boss. But hey, why stop there? Inspired by my globe-trotting escapades, I’ve ventured into travel blogging and vlogging!
My mission? To debunk the myth that globe-trotting is reserved only for the wealthy. Spoiler alert: it’s not! I love to uncover hidden gems around the globe because, trust me, the world is waiting to be explored, and I’m here to help you make it happen—with a sprinkle of fun and a dash of wanderlust, of course!
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh, let me tell you, the road to success had twists and turns! Picture this: 2020 rolls around, and just when things were picking up steam, bam! The world hits pause thanks to the infamous pandemic. Suddenly, parties and events were off the table, and my Photo Booth rental business—well, let’s say it was like hitting a speed bump at full speed! Stress? Oh yeah, it was knocking at my door big time. But hey, when life gives you lemons, you whip up some lemonade, right? So, I took a hiatus, regrouped, and turned this downtime into a golden opportunity. While events were on hold, I dove headfirst into online classes, researched new products, and mastered some fancy new software—talk about a glow-up for my business! It was all about making lemonade out of those lemons and sprucing things up while we were at a standstill. Then, like a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds, events started revving up again around mid-2021, and boy, was I ready! Armed with fresh ideas and newfound skills, I jumped back into the game, and let me tell you, I’ve never been busier—or happier!
