Today we’d like to introduce you to Moses Bravo.
Hi Moses, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Heading/ Title “Independent Artist Moses Bravo, A.k.a “Bizzy” portraying his R&B style of R&b.” As far as Moses Bravo could remember, he has always had a passion for music. His father, Roland Bravo, introduced him to various R&b & Pop legends such as Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, and Luther Vandross. Out of all those styles, he has portrayed his music rendition to inspire others. He started singing at 5 years old when his father recognized his voice & was impressed. Shortly after Moses Bravo’s father heard him sing, he knew he had to push him further. So he did just that. At 5 years old, his father, which was a lead singer at “Jubilee Outreach Christian Church in San Antonio, Texas, “ gave him an opportunity that would change his life dramatically. He sang solos for the children’s worship team “Arrows Of Praise” & even led the adult worship team. Fast forward 13 years later, Moses Bravo recorded his first song, Infatuated Ft. Modyist. But that wasn’t his breakout moment. He was overwhelmed & a little intimidated by the competition he had to compete with. He knew there would be trials & tribulations, but that wouldn’t stop him from pursuing his dreams.
“When I was growing up as a child & in my later teenage years, I didn’t know how to go about my singing. Some kids would tease me about the music I listened to, such as Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo & Usher; I became nervous & worried about how my friend would view me because I could sing. Sure, some girls would pull me aside & ask me to sing to them, but even then, I would still get laughed at. I knew that not everybody would like what I liked, so I couldn’t let that bother me. Instead, I let that fuel me to become better as an artist. He knows now what comes with being an artist & which means not everybody will relate. But that doesn’t mean he can’t try.
Bizzy put aside everything he went through growing up in his younger years & pursued his dreams, such as signing up for Talent shows, Auditioning for American Idol booking his shows & now marketing himself as an independent artist. Moses Bravo is working on his second album & says this would be his biggest project yet. You all make sure to follow him on his social media platforms.
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
Smooth? Not, Struggles? Yes indeed. It’s hard for an independent, unsigned artist like myself. Nobody is going to do it for me! I have to create my buzz and shows, & promote my music myself.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in singing & songwriting; That would be my strong suit. I’m most known for my cover videos on YouTube. I love covering my favorite artist’s songs. It shows my audience what influences me & can influence them. I’m most proud of my consistency over the past few years. At the age of 27, I felt like giving up & now, at 29, I’ve accomplished things I’ve never thought I could. What sets me apart from others is, as cliche as it sounds, I’m not trying to be like these mainstream artists. Instead, I am myself cause; at the end of the day, I won’t get recognized as fast if I try to be like others.
What do you think about luck?
Reaching out to the right people is a hit or miss out here in the music industry. Sometimes people notice you sometimes they don’t. But the more I put myself out, the more advantage I have.
