Today we’d like to introduce you to Ramiro Brave
Ramiro, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Ever since I was born I’ve been surrounded by music and dancing, I remember being a little toddler and being downstairs seeing my dad and uncle and cousin making music with live instruments. As I got older I started taking a interest more in dancing, and in 2012 my best friend and co writer on some of my music Samantha, introduced me to Kpop which created an entire new universe. I started learning Kpop dance covers and competing in dance competitions from Texas to Los Angeles.
Around 2015/2016 a producer named Joseph K, (Who produce music for KPOP Artist BTOB, Paul Kim)
expressed his interest in working with me and really try to see what more I can do with my art. I was blessed to live in his home in Studio City California, spent hundred of hours, days, months creating music and really finding what I can do and it really just clicked instantly. I met artist in the Kpop industry that I never thought I’d meet and learned a lot from them. Around the end of 2016 myself and Joseph K wrote my first single titled FEELIN’. It was around 5am when we finished the final demo and FEELIN was inspired by a lot of my favorite artist growing up such as PRINCE, Cyndi Laupher.
Around 2017 I decided to move back to Texas
As time went on from 2017 to 2020 I really focused on myself and really focused on my art and figure out what I want to do with my music. Early in 2022 I came out with my first lead single titled I’m Sad featuring G.K and from 2022 to now I just been performing as much as I can at any events I can get my hands on, and I am so grateful because John who is the founder of Austin Texas KPOPNITE really put my name more out in Texas without him for sure I wouldn’t have the fanbase I have now.
Today I am happy and enjoying every moment that I have with my music and interactions with my fans and performing on stage and taking really everything in. I love performing soooo much and I love making people happy and smile. I am just so ready for 2025 and ready to release my next single Daydream! My blooms have been waiting for 1 year and 6 months for new music, but they go to every show I do.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road at all but I was grateful for everything I experience and learned when I was taking that trip.
One major struggle I think was the passing of my dad in 2022. I really felt like my entire world was just crashing down, but I was lucky enough to speak with him the day before he passed and he asked me because I was thinking of quitting music after releasing a few more tracks that year. He said “Do you enjoy what you do? Do you enjoy making people happy? Do you enjoy being on stage and singing?” I responded yes of course to every answer, and he responded, “Ok do not give up on what you love”.
Hearing that from him and really taking that all in at that moment and even now till this day after his passing its something I can hear him say to me whenever I am feeling down to not give up.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a singer songwriter here in Austin Texas! I make Pop and R&B Music and what I am most proud of is my art. I feel like each song I release it just gets better and better and I feel like I am learning even way more as an artist now on my creativity and realizing what I can really do and I just can’t wait to make not just myself happy but people who have been listening to me since day 1 happy.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Be yourself, be humble and don’t be afraid of anything. No matter how far you go, no matter how big the stage is or production. Just be humble.
