Today we’d like to introduce you to Sebastian (Sebo) Hernandez.
Hi Sebastian (Sebo), we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up, I would watch Youtube videos of people playing games, vlogging, and just showing off their lives. I have always wanted to have what they had because they’ve always looked as if they had the most fun and enjoyment in life. I was inspired to start making content such as videos and photos for my friends and family to enjoy and look back on. I started creating content in middle school and sometime during high school, I took a small hiatus, it wasn’t until June 2021 I decided to buy a camera and start my journey of being a photographer and content creator again. I have such passion for creating and viewing my final product a sharing them with the world. From baby showers to working with Rappers and having everyone pleased with my photography and content makes me even more motivated to keep creating. I’m only 19 and I have a long way to go, millions of pieces of content to create and I can’t wait to see what the future has to offer.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the beginning, it is always difficult to figure out what you are actually doing, and being a kid when I first started, many people thought it was just a phase. I started making funny videos with my friends on my phone when I was around the age of 12. The struggle at the time was trying to earn enough money to be able to buy an actual camera. Eventually, I finally got my 1st camera when I started high school and a new challenge began. How do I operate this new thing I know nothing about? So, my sophomore year I decided to take a photography class. I don’t think I’ve taken a class so boring. Honestly, I would struggle to stay awake and It wasn’t that the subject was boring it was just the way it was being taught. Around this time, I started to get burnt out on creating content that I took a hiatus. During this, I decided to sell my camera to my friend since I no longer used it. Fast forward about three years later, June 2021, I decided that I have missed creating content and I wanted to get into photography again, I bought a brand new camera and my next challenge began. Anxiety got to me. I didn’t think my work would be good enough for people to enjoy. No matter how many times everyone would tell me how good my work is and how much I loved my final product, I would still be nervous to do my next piece of work. I’m at the point where anxiety doesn’t stop me from doing what I love and I realized I am great at what I do.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m not a big fan of labels because I believe you can be anything you want but if I had to be labeled as anything, I would call myself a Content creator. I’m mainly a photographer, taking pictures of local artists, Skaters, family events, and car shows. When it comes to car photography, I work with local organizations such as Austin Disoriented and Limestone Meats, taking photos and bringing the car community together. I mostly work with local artists such as RAH, JØXX, Hypnos, Jordan Gamboa, and Konvrse. All rappers from the Round Rock area. When collaborating with JØXX, I Shoot photos for his social media, personal studio “TrippleTwoStudio,” promoting merchandise, and Photos for his upcoming album “LØVE+MORE” which is coming early 2022. When working with Konvrse, I shoot behind the scene photos in the studio and photos for his upcoming album that’s coming in 2022. I am also a Graphic Designer making cover art for the Single “Murder Spree” by local artist Hypnos. Working with the upcoming rapper, RAH not only am I his personal photographer and videographer, but I also work behind the scenes as Executive Producer on his upcoming projects “Internet Maccin” dropping in November and “2 Chosen” which is dropping in January 2022. I also dabble in videography such as music videos, shooting and directing upcoming videos Japan by RAH. Pretty soon, I will be creating videos on what it is like working with artists and what the process of living an unordinary life is like. I’m proud of how much I have been able to accomplish in just a couple of months while maintaining my social life and having another job.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I think a lot of people would be surprised about my work ethic for only being 19. I consider myself a truly hard worker. As I talked about, I have many hobbies that I submerge myself in, not only being a photographer, videographer, Graphic Designer, and content creator, but I also work on vocal engineering. I like the quote “a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one” because I feel as it relates to me. I also believe people would be surprised by how much I know about music and how much of a passion I have for it. I love to digest all music and look deeper into the words, the meaning, and the beats more than the average person. I believe a lot of people look at me and think I’m just a normal teenager who doesn’t do much but be lazy and hangs out with friends but when they get to know me, they see how hard of a worker I’m actually am.
