Today we’d like to introduce you to Shawn Sheppard.
Hi Shawn, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My stories starts in west Texas, my long-time friend Megan Bradley hit me up asking if I would like to do a Photoshoot with Texas Photographer Brian Lotson, he was looking for some male models to shoot with. After shooting with them that month. I explain to those two I’ve been wanting to do this for a while and they work with me for a solid year before I branch out in bigger markets in Texas.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For me, it’s been steady and smooth. I can speak for other models and actors. But the only struggle I really had was trying to find a job that was going to be flexible with me and let me work also take time off for a fashion show or a gig.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Before acting and modeling. I was pretty well known in west Texas for my quick adaptation for bartending. That has been my major resource for my income for the past eight years. I’ve done just about every type of bartending you can think of from speed, crafty, to beer/liqour brewery. I have had locals from Lubbock, Dallas, Tennessee just for me to make them a cocktail or just to chat and hang out with me after work. I meet and made a lot of great friends through my career.
But I’m acting full time and have been casted for 3rd Coast tv show role more details to come out in the future so stay tuned! 😊
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My kids/family dedication, hard work, trusting the process, and networking. That’s what makes me happy, I have always believed in myself and surprised myself at times. I always felt like my time will come and belong in this industry.
