Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelbi Batchelor.
Hi Shelbi, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Shelbi Marie Batchelor. I am a small-town lifestyle + wedding photographer out of Buckholts Texas. I moved from New Richmond Ohio in 2016 to study nursing. I began my life as a stay at home mom after meeting my now husband shortly after moving. I am blessed to be the mother of my four beautiful children, and a growing photographer of six years. I hope to share the word of God through my life and story!
Photography is my mission. I want to help people capture the moments in their lives that God gives them, the moments that they want to hold on to for a lifetime. I truly believe that everything in our lives is God’s doing, and it is apart of His plan for us. Every moment is apart of the journey in this life, the journey to eternal life. These moments are worth holding onto for they are God’s work, and well, God’s work is worth holding onto!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
God has paved the way for me. My husband helps me in every way he can. I have met some really amazing people to connect with along the way. Every challenge is met with prayer and God answers in so many ways.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a lifestyle photographer. I love to capture life as it is! No crazy posing, just life in the moment! Sometimes we can snap a couple portrait style pictures, but my favorites will always be the candids!
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I read my Bible and pray to the Lord! I listen to Christian music. I like to watch Christian homestead mama influencers. Sophie Brissman is a good one I like!
