Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie King.
Hi Stephanie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Years ago my dad had just gifted me with a digital camera, and at that time my sister was engaged. She asked if I would take their engagement photos, and to be honest, at that time I did not think of photography as my passion, or something I have always wanted to pursue. I just thought “hey now I have an excuse to try out my new camera”. So I took their engagement photos in a small little town in Texas. Then I thought to myself, “Wow! This was actually so much fun”. When I went home that evening, I went through the photos and was actually very happy with the way they turned out. So I started to take pictures for family, and friends as a fun little hobby. Then I realized how much fun I have on these photo shoots, and how my work will be something people will cherish for a lifetime. It made me feel so happy, and so I thought maybe photography is for me. Now I have a side business that I love, and I have worked hard to grow and continue to grow. Where I am today is because of my faith in God, and I am so excited to see what he has planned for my photography in the future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say the main struggle I had was self-doubt. I compared myself to other photographers and their work. But now as the years have gone by, I have realized that every photographer is different and unique in their own way and how they do things, and that’s okay. As long as you are proud of your work, that is all that counts.

A little about me, I love hanging out with my husband David who is also my biggest supporter, and our 3 little fur babies, Cash, Marley, and Blue. I am very blessed to have my whole family as my support system. I love pizza, and I love coffee! Oh and I am obsessed with my little niece Indi-Cruz! 🙂
