Today we’d like to introduce you to Teaj
Hi Teaj, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off in the music industry and business side. I was apart of a small management team coming out of college, they managed artists like Billy Idol and Tycho, I was living in Oakland at the time. I loved watching how live music was orchestrated on a large scale. I really just wanted to see how the chocolate was made. I left that world to pursue my own music dreams.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s not for the weak. I thought everything needed to be perfect in order for me to have any kind of success. Turns out it’s just a group of white dudes in a room going “yes” and “no”. I make music that makes me happy and that I like, now I don’t really care who listens, I promote it because it’s my art, my voice, my energy, my vibes.

I like the OG hippies and real locals. I hate how gentrified it is, y’all not slick.
