Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyson Morlet
Tyson, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was putting in 60 hour weeks missing out on life (ya know, the real stuff… babies growing, marriage and love etc) working at a big ‘ol texas church grinding my life away. I had asked my buddy to come with me on a craigslist run. This old dude was unloading all his hungover sons gear. I needed back up… ya never know with craigslist and my buddy, though he wouldnt hurt a fly, was 6’4″ and fit the bill. One hour later we were driving away with thousands of dollars of gear for a couple hundred bucks. Zak asked me if there were deals like this all the time… the rest is history. We both began doing this as a side hustle, then he quit his job and started full time. A few years later I was also ready to take the plunge!
So here I am today…
I have one goal.
I want to put good instruments in the hands of good people that the world might be filled with good music.
I want to make buying used easier than ever and care for all the humans in the process.
Who knew you could bring a little heaven to earth even just selling some nice guitars?
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Owning your own business is the most freeing and exhilarating thing you can do.. also, LOTS of paperwork. Taxes, government.. the whole nine! And that stuff needs constant attention.
You’ve got to study the market! It ebbs and flows and so you must right along with it!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I make music!
I guess you could say I smoke what I sell. Every instrument that comes through I play until I understand what it is that this instrument does that maybe no other can!
I’ve been playing for 30 years and am first a player!
