Today we’d like to introduce you to Yarisel Estrada
Hi Yarisel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hola, my name is Yarisel Estrada. I’m a creative director and interdisciplinary artist. Moved from Mexico to Austin about 11 years ago when I was only 19 years old. I have seen the city grown as well has I’ve grown with the city. I am fully bilingual in English and Spanish. Throughout my journey I’ve had the opportunity to structure, produce and direct different bodies of content and have led creative groups. My creative and professional portfolio varies from, theater, editorial photography, digital marketing, music video production, film and project management.
I’ve also had the chance to collaborate as an independent content creator with major brands such as Fossil, Dr. Martens, Maybelline, Savage X Fenty, Crocs, CYO cosmetics, Tarte Cosmetics, Cara Buena Tequila, Game & Bolt Mezcal, Makeup Forever, just to name a few.
Genuinely, I find joy in developing creative multimedia content, which allows me to execute them with passion and dedication. I’m driven for polished results and pay attention to detail when it comes to imagery and frame composition while also integrating an organic and true feel to the overall story.
I am humbly proud to share that my independent work has been published in Photo VOGUE twice and I encourage myself to continue to learn and challenge myself with different projects and artistic formats.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely has been a challenging road. The creative industry has changed throughout the years and sometimes it’s hard to quickly learn the new ways and trends that lead the media. Overall I’ve had a good experience, this is thanks to the creative community in Austin which is very supportive.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is very versatile, I am known for my editorial fashion photoshoots, social media management and event production for Revival Coffee. I regularly post on my personal channel content creation tips, fashion and experiences. Recently, my friends and I founded a project called UP ‘N UP Media, where we record live music sessions for emerging artists all while featuring cool spots in Austin Texas. I produce music videos and have also written and directed theater plays in the past.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Some of my favorite books are: The war of art, social engineering, brainfluence, la teoría sintérgica. Overall these books talk in depth about neuromarketing, social behavior, how creative minds work, the human consciousness and its interconnection with the universe. During my free time I also enjoy listening to podcasts that are informative and entertaining. My favorites are CREATIVO by Roberto Mtz and Huberman Lab.
