Hi Amanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My brow journey began in 2006 as a brow technician at Billion Dollar Brows in Beverly Hills, where I trained under the renowned Kelley Baker, whose clientele includes Megan Fox, Amal Clooney, and Kylie Jenner. After six years of building my own following, I launched my studio in Salon Republic, West Hollywood, where I spent five years crafting thick, tailored brows for clients from all across Los Angeles. In 2017, I added microblading to my repertoire, training with Audrey Glass at Audrey Glass Cosmetic Tattoo, a studio known worldwide. It was a privilege to work with such talented artists and make lasting transformations, especially for clients facing unique challenges like alopecia or brow loss from chemotherapy.
When the pandemic hit, my family and I decided to move to Austin to raise our son in my husband’s hometown. I took time to focus on what my next step would be in my career and I ultimately decided to return to my first love, brow shaping, and no longer offer microblading services. In 2021, we made the leap, and I quickly recognized the need for a brow focused studio in Austin. After opening my own small studio in Northwest Austin in early 2022, I transitioned back to Salon Republic, where I continue to offer specialized services in brow shaping, lamination, tinting, and waxing. It’s been a fulfilling journey coming full circle, returning to where I first started my business and building a new, loyal clientele. I’m grateful every day to do what I love and bring my passion for brows to the Austin community.

The journey to success in the brow industry has been anything but smooth, but every challenge has come with invaluable lessons. If there’s one thing I’ve learned along the way, it’s that doing what you truly love is the foundation for attracting the right clients. When your passion for brow shaping shines through, it naturally draws in clients who are equally enthusiastic and loyal. Starting over three times has taught me that patience and consistency are key. Regularly posting on social media, contacting local publications like The Community Impact, and sharing your services on Instagram are all essential steps in establishing awareness. Building a clientele and a thriving business takes time, but with persistence, the growth will follow.

As a brow artist, I specialize in creating full, clean, and tailored brows that naturally complement each client’s unique face shape. Known for my meticulous attention to detail, I strive for perfection in every brow. My passion for art started early on in childhood, and I went on to earn a degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where I developed a keen eye for symmetry and aesthetics. What truly sets me apart though, is my genuine interest in my clients. I love that my studio can be a space where people feel comfortable to express themselves, share their stories, or simply enjoy 30 minutes of self-care. My goal is to create a space of relaxation and refuge, where clients leave feeling both refreshed and more confident.
How do you think about luck?
I believe we create our own luck. When we choose to see things through a positive lens, that positivity often finds its way back to us. While it’s not always easy, I’ve found that approaching challenges with the belief that things will work out for the best often leads to the best results. Life and business will always bring highs and lows, but it’s our response that truly shapes the outcome.
