Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Beeker
Hi Blake, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
What started as a passion for capturing candid photos and videos quickly turned into my full-time job. I have always loved taking content but really fell in love when I moved to Austin almost 3 years ago. I have background in Hospitality and Interior Design, so I have always loved a job where I am people facing. Be Social TX was meant to be a side hustle helping brides, business owners, and interior designers capture content but I am lucky enough now to do it full time at 24 years old!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not! When I moved to Austin I didn’t know why life lead me here. I was doing a job that I didn’t love and I didn’t know anyone. Once I got my feet on the ground, I began building my future brick by brick. The reason Be Social TX even became my full time job is because I was laid off! I have been so blessed by my community to have so much support for my small business.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do Content Creation for Weddings, Events, and Interior Designers. I also provide Luxe Concierge for people coming to visit Austin. I love creating itineraries and showing people my favorite parts of the city — so I turned it into my job!
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Life can change in an instant and it is so important to learn how to grow and adapt. I was in college when the pandemic hit and had to move home, but I learned so much about myself during that time and truly think it has lead me to be a better person today.
