Daily Inspiration: Meet Brian Leija

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Leija.

Hi Brian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My father started this company roughly 9 years ago with his entire savings. He bought a truck, trailer, and concrete finishing tools. He dove head first into the business and decided to make this his career. Since then he has grown from only concrete work to now doing fences, barndominiums, tiny homes, and small remodels. I came to work for my dad 7 years ago, and it was at that point we dove into metal work and expansion of the business capabilities. Family owned and operated is what we pride ourselves on as the values of the company, and we strive for the best customer service we can give and the best product possible for an affordable price point.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The beginning of the business was tough. The first step is the scariest and most difficult. As the business has grown and the territory we provide service has grown, there have been growing pains. Finances in blue collar work is inconsistent at times. The weather and holidays are the toughest times financially. Owning a small business is never easy or smooth if you wanna grow and be a bigger better business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We specialize in general construction. Our bread and butter is concrete and metal work, but we are slowly phasing out of concrete to try and focus on building metal structures from the ground up. We are most proud of the reputation we have established in the community. People recognizing us and putting our name out to other people speaks volumes on the trust and quality of work we provide, which is also what sets us apart.

What does success mean to you?
Success is growth, financial stability, and being able to buy my granddaughter everything she wants. Success is measured in both tangible and intangible things.
