Daily Inspiration: Meet Bryce Young

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryce Young.

Hi Bryce, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m an audio enthusiast, vinyl collector, and guitar player. I played in a band in Madison, WI, throughout high school, where I recorded a couple of albums. After having a less-than-desirable experience recording those 2 albums, I decided to learn to record my band by myself. After many years of learning the recording craft, I began tinkering with vintage preamps that had a cool sound and were highly coveted. I learned how to build these by hand and eventually mass-produced them using high-end boutique parts, improving the manufacturing efficiency over competitors’ warm Audio supplies preamps, microphones, compressors, equalizers, guitar pedals, DI boxes, and cables worldwide. Our products are used by Dolly Parton, Michael Buble, Bebe Rhexa, Drake, Anderson Paak, Billy Ray Cyrus, Lee Brice, and many more. We provide the classic analog products everyone wants in their recording studio but can’t afford. We offer these products built to the specs of the coveted originals at a fraction of the price.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Growing a business takes work. Learning the art of distribution channels took time, and it is always a constant battle to grow those relationships and marketing channels. We sell wholesale only B2B and are always looking for ways to help our distributors and dealers find more reach for the products.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As mentioned previously, we primarily sell audio equipment. We also recently built a world-class recording studio in our headquarters open to the public. This studio rivals the best in the country with 26-foot tall live room ceilings, ATC speakers, SSL consoles, many instruments, and incredible isolation. The studio opened its doors in March of 2022. We encourage anyone looking for a location for their next project to contact us; we are on the studio side of things for the community aspect and can be very aggressive on rates and accessibility; www.warmaudio.studio is the website.

Can you talk to us about the role of luck?
I’m a big believer that positivity wins. You have to remain positive when things get tough and not give up. You also have to put in hard work every day, even when you don’t feel like it. Every extra minute, hour, or day you put in will pay off. Work-life balance is important; of course, I’m not saying people should overwork themselves, but I have met many entrepreneurs who think the beauty of entrepreneurship is being unable to work very hard. I disagree with this mentality and believe in the work-hard, the play-hard mentality of growing a business. I do believe in luck somewhat, but I am a bigger believer in hard work.
