Daily Inspiration: Meet Emma Keteler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emma Keteler

Hi Emma, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a long time creator from painting, to photography and ceramics. I create content because I love to capture the world around me and find new ways to bring people together. I primarily create travel and local Austin content with the goal to inspire people to get back out into the world whether that it is through travel or just trying a new restaurant. I began creating content “seriously” around 2023 and it has been an exciting adventure from growing to nearly 30k followers on TikTok and diving into creating more authentic connections with my audience on Instagram.

Creating connections and community has always been important to me and at the end of 2024 I launched ATX Brew Crew, a social coffee club centered around bringing people together and uplifting Austin’s coffee scene. We continue to steadily grow and host all sorts of events from tasting workshops to coffee & crafts.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Creating content is not always as easy as it may seem. I do this as a hobby and still work a full time job. Balancing work, mental health and my social life alongside creating content is like a trapeze act. Adding on to this I am also in the process of growing a social media management and coaching company called AMME MEDIA with the goal of helping small Austin businesses grow sustainable audiences.

In addition, not everyone is a fan of content creators and I am no stranger to receiving online hate. It usually does not bother me though.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Many know me as the girl with the coffee spreadsheet. I worked in coffee for three years and have traveled the world trying and learning about different styles of coffee from different cultures. I was tired of seeing people online recommend coffee shops solely on aesthetic and not taste and quality. This lead me to begin my challenge of trying and ranking every coffee shop in Austin. We have been to over 50 different coffee shops and over 2,000 people have a copy of my spreadsheet. I am really proud of this not only because of its reach but how it has encouraged my audience to branch out and try new coffee shops in Austin. Our coffee scene is so vast and has so much to offer. I just want to do my part to make sure it lasts a long time. Which is also what lead me to building my coffee club ATX Brew Crew.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I have always been a person who can’t really sit still. A jack of all trades, master of none. I played soccer competitively, even going to university on an athletic scholarship. At the same time, I was a member of the student governmetnt from highshool to college. Even being voted President of the student government in highschool. I think that experience is something that helped grow my passion for bringing people together and finding ways to positively impact my community. I have also always been a big music nerd, playing a few different instruments and known for regularly going to shows when I could manage the free time.
