Daily Inspiration: Meet JP Udenenwu

Today we’d like to introduce you to JP Udenenwu.

Hi JP, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Heartbreak from basketball dreams that got crushed. Led me to my knees, to a saving faith in Jesus and a new perspective through that. Felt God calling me to move to Austin ten years ago. During that time, I worked at a taco cabana, my manager left pancake mix behind and I craved nothing but pancakes. All my coworkers begged me to make them some and I did, and I believe thats when JP’s Pancake Company was born (make sure you say JP’s Pancake Company or JPs for short. Not, Jps pancakes)

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Not at all.

No money.

Lots of no’s.

Lots of stuff I didn’t know.

Injury (torn achilles) led to pulmonary embolism. Could’ve died is what they told me. Multiple blood clots in legs and lungs.

Bad investments from ignorance.

Pandemic.

All the above. But I believe I’m still here cause God wants me here. And I’m not sure what the future holds but I’m excited cause God holds my future.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I spread love through gourmet pancakes. I specialize in making people smile or laugh. But laughing cause I have terrible jokes. Not funny jokes.

I’m most proud of the fact that I haven’t given up. I’m proud of my followers for not giving up on me.

I’m proud of my team.

What sets me apart, I feel like is my motivation. It’s not money, it’s not fame or success, but its truly being and doing my best so that God can get all the glory from it

How do you think about luck?
Luck plays a huge role. Both kinds. But honestly, I think at the end of the day, I feel like what we call luck is God’s grace. I don’t believe in manifestation or all that, just God’s grace and his favor. I don’t feel like I should be here.

Psalms 127:1-2 explains what I believe pretty good.
