Daily Inspiration: Meet The Peterson Brothers

Today we’d like to introduce you to The Peterson Brothers

Hi The Peterson Brothers , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Our love for music began when our mom and grandma gave us a crate of assorted albums and a turntable they found at a garage sale. We immersed ourselves in music, listening to artists like The Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Brothers Johnson, and B.B. King. We honed our craft by studying the nuances of their music.

Over the years, we have grown in our career and musicianship by performing as consistently as possible.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
For us as independent artists, nothing is guaranteed or handed to us, so it’s important to have a strong work ethic and a supportive circle of people who believe in what we’re doing.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We’re a musical duo featuring Glenn Jr. on vocals and guitar, and Alex, a GRAMMY® award-winning musician, on bass and vocals. We have our own blend of Americana music consisting of classic Soul, Funk, Blues, and Jazz and have been professionally performing and touring for over a decade. Our resume includes sharing the stage with legendary artists like Gary Clark Jr., The Roots, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jesse Johnson (The Time), Willie Nelson, B.B. King, New Power Generation (Prince’s longtime band), Buddy Guy, and Los Lonely Boys, among others.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being able to do what we love as a profession is what brings us happiness. We feel truly blessed to do this alongside our family and the friends we’ve made over the years.
