Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Chan
Hi Tiffany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story has been about exploring the power of creativity and design to build connections. I’ve been fortunate to experience this from different angles: as a design student at the University of Texas, a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, and an educational strategist working with independent schools across the country. Now, I have the opportunity to focus on creating experiences that bring joy and well-being to people and animals.
My vision is to expand access to mental health, education, and community spaces that foster connection, all rooted in art, community building, and creative therapies, while also exploring the intersection of arts, wellness, play, and the brain. This journey has led to WitchyCrafts, an Austin-based creative coven. It’s a space for curious souls, artists, and makers of all ages who believe in the magic of creativity and intentionality. We’re building a vibrant community that values connection and play. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter, an experimental artist, or just starting out, you’re welcome here. We host crafting circles, participate in local markets, collaborate with creatives, and offer private events. It’s a place where we can all make magic together.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The enthusiastic response to WitchyCrafts has been incredibly heartening, and it’s been a wonderful journey of growth and discovery. We’re still a small but growing project, and while we’ve had some exciting milestones, our primary focus now is on building a sustainable model: ensuring the consistent delivery of accessible creative experiences and spaces, while building a sustainable foundation. We’re actively exploring creative solutions for pricing, partnerships, and funding to keep workshops, materials, and the overall experience affordable for a diverse range of people. It’s a continuous process of refining and adapting, all while staying true to our values of love, intuition, and community.
One of our current goals is to find a more permanent home for WitchyCrafts, an intimate place of gathering designed to foster deeper connections and more personal interactions. This warm and inviting space will be ideal for smaller groups, workshops, intimate performances, and community meals, providing a sense of belonging and encouraging meaningful conversations. We’re learning and evolving every day, and we’re excited about the future.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work today is driven by two interconnected passions: building vibrant creative communities and empowering mission-driven organizations. Through WitchyCrafts and related projects, I’m focused on creating spaces that foster connection, combat social isolation, and promote well-being through creative expression and accessible resources. I specialize in hosting holistic experiences that blend introspection and connection, like intuitive tarot, sound baths, and creative workshops, which serve as tools for personal and community growth.
Simultaneously, I work as a creative strategist, partnering with community-oriented organizations to build sustainable systems and translate vision into action. I’m known for my expertise in responsive strategic planning, relationship building, and systems thinking, which enables organizations to tackle complex challenges with a data-informed, human-centered approach.
I’m most proud of seeing communities flourish and organizations achieve meaningful impact through our collaborative efforts. What sets me apart is my ability to bridge the gap between creative community building and strategic organizational development. I bring a unique blend of intuitive creativity and data-driven strategy, allowing me to approach challenges from a holistic perspective and create solutions that are both innovative and sustainable.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Absolutely, WitchyCrafts is a testament to the power of community and collaboration. First and foremost, I must acknowledge Pri of Pri Educational Consulting (https://www.prieducationalconsulting.com/). Pri’s exceptional coaching has been instrumental in refining my vision and focusing my energy, truly shaping my personal and professional journey. Since WitchyCrafts’ inception, Eli Winkelman at Craft (madeatcraft.com) has been an incredible supporter, partnering with us by providing space and supplies at her studio in Canopy for community events. I’m also deeply grateful to the many talented creatives and local artists who have been a constant source of inspiration, encouragement, and collaboration: Mac at Craft.Macc (https://www.instagram.com/craft.macc), Sage at Pink Sage (https://www.instagram.com/pinksageee/), ML at Made by ML (https://www.instagram.com/mlh_artsandcrafts/), and Leah McKnight at Leah Leah Studio (https://www.instagram.com/leahleahstudio/), among numerous others. Ultimately, WitchyCrafts wouldn’t be where it is today without the collective support of Austin’s vibrant community. I’d love to hear from anyone looking to collaborate or partner!
