Today we’d like to introduce you to Aleksandra Terry.
Hi Aleksandra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was nail tech for 13 years before that. Then one day I met a girl , she had beautiful eyelash extensions and I was impressed of quality of work and I wanted to learn how to do the same job. After that I started learning: I went to one beauty class for beginners for classic set. I practiced after that about 6 months and then I finished multiple classes for Russian volume set and I fall in love with eyelash extensions. I quit to do nails and became eyelash artist. Now I do lashes for more than 9 years. 3 years in Russia and 6 years here in America
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My first eyelash class: It was my friend: she did lashes on that time and she told that I don’t have to go to eyelash school, she will show me everything. And on the day of our class she just showed me how to apply patches and first 5 lashes and she left me with a model 1:1. She had some last minute errands and she wasn’t able to be there with me. It was stressful. I did that classic set for 6 hours.
We’ve been impressed with Your Lash story, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I just moved here from San Antonio. There I had me and 2 employees: eyelash girls. Here in Austin I am going to start by myself in the beginning. I specialize on natural eyelash extensions only. No clusters, no heavy extensions, only natural individual eyelash extensions application. It’s suitable for every day! I don’t do dramatic look.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
