Exploring Life & Business with Ana Ortiz of Austin Service Enterprise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Ortiz.

Hi Ana, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a fire, water and mold specialist, Realtor and I manage my children’s businesses. How it all started, at the age of 14yrs old I became pregnant with my oldest son/now business partner, shortly after that, I moved out of my mom’s house and into an apartment with my children’s dad and that is when it all started. I continued to go to school and worked full time, all while attending to my baby, and this is where I met the most amazing women that helped me get through high school. Right after high school but now with two kids, I went straight into college and studied social work. I’ve always had a passion for helping others some of my biggest cheerleaders helped me though high school and I knew I at least wanted to do a small impact in other people’s lives.

My first opportunity in the business I am in now was when I was 19 years old. I really needed a good job to make enough money to take care of my three kids while being a single mom. Here is where I learned that I really loved my job and even though I wasn’t a social worker and I wasn’t working with teen moms, I was able to be there first hand helping and supporting people while they went through a big catastrophe in their lives that changed everything around them. While working at AHT Restoration, I fell in love and my whole life plan changed, that is how I got to where I am today and I am now the first face you see when you have a fire or water emergency and you don’t know what the next step might be. I am the face of Austin Service Enterprise. My husband, sons and I started “The Rortoya’s Hauling Services” which offers hauling, cleaning and delivery services.

I also manage “The Party Fairies decor & rentals” which my husband and I started for our daughters and my reasoning for starting these businesses is to teach my children how to be entrepreneurs. I will continue to work on building these businesses up for them until they can take full control and go on on their own. I am also at the beginning of my realtor career which eventually, my husband and I will launch a business combining real estate, upgrading, remodeling & staging all as a package.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Balancing it all is the biggest challenge. You have to be able to change gears rapidly and be hyper-focused to be successful. This lifestyle might seem overwhelming but with great communication, multitasking, proper planning, anything is possible. The secret is eliminating unnecessary distractions.

It has definitely been a bumpy road along the way both in my personal life and my business life. In 2019, my kids lost their dad and that was a big 360 change for us. Life completely changed I never know what our day brings us and what emotions I have to deal with for the day. Just like with my business life, you don’t even know how much impact a catastrophe can have on a person. One day I walk up to the door and my client is standing there with open arms ready for me to help other days, I have to work really hard to assure them that I am there for them 100% and gain their trust and assure them that I will get them back to having a house that is 100% put back together. Each individual client has their specific set of needs and emotions. However, overcoming obstacles and making sure my clients and my children feel like I have their backs and they can trust me is what makes my everyday job and life so rewarding.

As you know, we’re big fans of Austin service Enterprise . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a fire, water and mold specialist we come out to your home or business when you have an emergency and help you mitigate and rebuild back with little to no stress. I work with people that have had a catastrophic event in their lives where their house has caught on fire or their house has flooded. I truly love what I do I love to build trustworthy relationships with all of my clients because at the moment that something happens that can be so catastrophic and you have 30 other different companies trying to come sell you while firemen are still on-site you need that one person that is really just trying to help. I also manage “the Rortoya’s Hauling Services” which we offer trash, junk & hauling services, site cleaning/cleanouts, moving, and material delivery.

I also manage “the Party Fairies Decor & Rentals” which offers bounce house rentals, chairs & tables rentals, mechanical bull rentals, waterslide rentals, party decor and the party set up & clean up. I think what sets us apart from others is we truly are a family-owned and operated business, the first face you see will always be one of us and we will always be the ones to communicate at 100%, we are also really committed to understanding and putting out customers 1st because we are the face that they will always remember.
