Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthea Chlebek.

Anthea Chlebek

Hi Anthea, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’m a Native Texan who graduated from West Point and proudly served in the Army for five years. After finishing my Army commitment, we moved to Washington, DC, for work and made many lifelong friends and connections. We decided to move back home to Texas, and it was here that, alongside my family, I delved into the world of real estate investing. We began buying homes and restoring them, finding immense satisfaction. Balancing this newfound passion, I continued my corporate job for six more years. However, my love for real estate eventually led me to make a life-changing decision. I left the corporate world behind and embarked on a full-time career in real estate. Obtaining my Real Estate License was a pivotal moment in my journey, and since then, I haven’t looked back. This transition has allowed me to continue serving others and helping them with one of the most important transactions of their lives.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
My journey has been filled with its share of challenges and transitions. Serving in the Army, while incredibly rewarding, came with its hardships. Between a 15-month deployment to Iraq and a one-year hardship tour in South Korea, being away from family while facing the demands of military life was difficult. The transition from military to civilian life was another hurdle to overcome. Adapting to a different routine, finding a new career path, and reestablishing connections in the civilian world presented its own difficulties. Starting our own company was undoubtedly one of the toughest challenges. Entrepreneurship comes with risks, uncertainties, and countless obstacles. Building a successful business requires dedication, resilience, and a willingness to learn from failures. Throughout this journey, I’ve learned the importance of perseverance, adaptability, and the value of a strong support network. Each challenge has been an opportunity for growth, and while the road has been tough, it has also been immensely rewarding.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?

We’re always looking for lessons in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
From the Covid-19 crisis, I’ve gained valuable insights. First and foremost, it has emphasized the importance of self-reliance. The pandemic underscored the need to be self-sufficient in various aspects of life, from necessities to personal well-being. Moreover, I’ve learned that while crises are temporary, they can be unpredictable, emphasizing the need for preparedness. Having a well-thought-out plan for when challenges arise is crucial, as it ensures one can navigate through difficulties more confidently and resiliently. This experience has taught me the importance of adaptability, resilience, and the ability to prepare for the future proactively.
