Exploring Life & Business with Brittany Hastings of Boss Lady Mobile Laundry & Cleaning

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Hastings.

Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Brittany Hastings, am 32 years old. I was born and raised in Austin, Tx! I mostly grew up in East Austin and South Austin. Throughout my childhood I watched my parents work hard and create a great life for me and my siblings. They instilled good character, and great work ethics and treated people with love and kindness! As I got older and experienced more things in life, such as becoming a mother and losing my dream job as a childcare director. I truly began to look at life in a new way and wanted to go after things I deserved and my son deserved. I launched my business and from there, life has been a sweet ride.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Back in 2017, I experienced some hardship. After being let go from my job, I had a hard time getting on my feet. My son’s father and I decided to split and I could not afford to take care of my son and myself. I had no savings and was too prideful to ask for help so there were times when we went days without lights, or not much food in the fridge. I would work uber until midnight or even 2am to make ends meet. Due to everything I was going through, I fell behind in college and eventually had to drop school completely as I could no longer keep up with classes. This all caused deep depression and I developed an emotional eating disorder that cause me to be overweight and borderline diabetic. When I decided to launch my business in 2019, I continued to battle depression and eating disorder. As the business continued to grow, I was able to afford therapy, eat healthier and get a gym membership. I could afford to have a life!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
