

Today we’d like to introduce you to Emmet Felner.
Hi Emmet, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We started as a conversation in the driveway about detailing and my passion for it. I fell in love with the idea of taking something that I enjoyed doing and turning it into a business. I hit the ground running and made myself a logo with the help of my Mom, who helped me hone it in while keeping my personal style requirements in mind. From there I went door to door and asked for referrals letting the word spread naturally. At this point we developed our website to simplify and condense everything as well as make it legit. There were a lot of people who had little faith in this mission of mine, but I quickly came to find that my consistency, dedication, and quality of work will prove to be invaluable. We continued working off referrals and pushing hard for return customers. We eventually made T shirts and hired employees, got registered with the county & state, got a POS and booking system and the semantics go on and on. The whole time my focus was on creating a service that I was proud of, not just something to generate the most revenue. We have spent hours if not days refining our craft and perfecting the details wherever possible. We are proud of what we do and hope to continue to do it the same, honest, respectable, and transparent way. I am going to college next year and will likely need someone to take over for me in certain areas so while I manage all of this I am looking for my next manager, someone who, with my guidance and the guidance of our company beliefs, will continue to bring satisfaction to the Austin area.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been a lot of struggles that we have encountered and I think that its important to note that we have always bounced back from these and figured out how to respond as a business. The most recent setback has been my hand injury where I had to recieve surgery and effectively immobilize my hand for months. I quickly learned what I could / couldn’t do and made sure to support my employees as they took up the slack. We are still developing a perfect system as I recover but we have for the most part adapted. Overall the biggest challenge that we face is the fact that I along with all of my employees, are students. We all find a delicate balance to maintain between classes, athletics, applications, schoolwork and maintaining the business. This challenge has been amplified with the recent addition of college applications to our list of tasks but we continue to give our best and communicate with our team when we can’t get the job done ourselves.

We are a detailing company dedicated to 3 of my personal “pillars” – respect, honesty, and diligence. Our customers know us for our low prices, outstanding quality of work, and the respect we instill into every service we provide. We specialize in making personal relationships with our customers where we go above and beyond to make sure that everyone leves not just satisfied, but fulfilled. I pride myself in my team’s ability to maintain our low prices through constant communication with suppliers and review of our services to ensure maximal efficiency. I also pride myself in my team’s amicability and understanding with each customer, going beyond the simple customer service training required to ensure everyone leaves happy. I founded my business on these pillars and they are what shape our identity and set us apart from our fellow detailers.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I would not be anywhere without my right hand man and close friend Logan Horvath. He single handedly built our entire website and got us from nothing to a legitimate business. He is also in charge of all of our media, ie: photography, videography, content editing etc. He has always done an incredible job and has done so with a smile on his face. His positivity and dedication in helping our business is radiated throughout everything we release. I also believe that my wonderful, business genius, mom played a very monumental role in getting the ball rolling. Her experience in starting a business of her own and extensive knowledge of design & marketing were, in my opinion, the biggest factors that led to my success. With her help I built the brand that I am immensely proud of and it certainly would not be the same, or anywhere near as good, without her.
