Today we’d like to introduce you to Grant Bohls.
Hi Grant, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Bohls family can be traced back to the 1850’s in Bee Cave, TX. I am a 5th generation Texan and was born and raised in Dripping Springs, Texas, and my family’s business is in custom home building.
I pursued degrees in Energy Management and Finance from The University of Tulsa, in Tulsa, OK. This led to a job as a landman working for an oil and gas company in Midland, Texas. After several years in the industry, I decided to move back to Dripping Springs area to be with my now wife.
With my background as a landman, homebuilding knowledge, and entrepreneurial spirit, I found that real estate was the perfect fit. Furthermore, I focused on the niche market of land and ranch, as this is overlaps with my passion for the outdoors. These days, I spend my time building custom homes/remodels and buying and selling land of all sizes with my clients.
The goal is to be a one stop shop resource for my clients in the real estate or building business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When owning and running your own business, there are always struggles. Furthermore, making a career change to being self-employed in a different field! Whether it’s trying to figure out quickbooks, licensing and continuing education, how to do a complicated transaction or how many 2×4’s it takes to build a house, you’re always learning and educating yourself on the areas you lack knowledge in. Then eventually, those areas are no longer a struggle.
We’ve been impressed with West Pole Partners / Austin Outline Inc., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am part of the West Pole Partners Team with Keller Williams Real Estate. We specialize in ranch, land and luxury properties. Our goal is to set a higher standard in all aspect of our business. From high end photography and marketing, to fun and exciting showings, and smooth closings. Like the compass needle is drawn to the North, the West Pole represents the draw to the outdoors and our job is to provide the best service to enable our clients to achieve that dream of owning their piece of Texas.
Additionally, I help run our family’s custom building business, Austin Outline Inc. For over 35 years, Austin Outline has been building custom homes in the Hill Country and surrounding areas.
