Working closely with the brand gave me invaluable exposure to the world of cosmetic contact lenses, from understanding product quality and safety standards to witnessing firsthand the impact a trusted beauty brand can have on customers. It was more than just a job; it became a learning ground that sharpened my perspective on the industry and revealed its untapped potential.
Over time, that experience sparked a deeper ambition. I found myself wanting to create something of my own, something rooted in the credibility and excellence of Bella, yet guided by my own entrepreneurial vision. I wasn’t just inspired by the product itself, but by the idea of building a brand that could connect beauty, confidence, and accessibility in a meaningful way.
The turning point came when my brother relocated from Lebanon to the United States. Seeing the move as more than a personal transition, I recognized it as an opportunity. The journey has been far from a smooth road, but that’s exactly what made it meaningful. Building Daring Eyes required stepping into the unknown, transitioning from being an employee to becoming an entrepreneur, and launching a business across borders added an entirely new layer of complexity.
Some of the early challenges included understanding the U.S. market, navigating logistics, regulations, and distribution, and building trust with customers in a highly competitive beauty industry. Starting from scratch meant wearing many hats at once, operations, marketing, customer experience, and strategy, often learning through trial and error.
There were also moments of uncertainty, especially in the early stages, when growth felt slow and every decision carried weight. However, each challenge became a learning opportunity. Staying consistent, adapting quickly, and believing in the quality of the product helped push the brand forward.
Looking back, those obstacles shaped Daring Eyes into what it is today. They strengthened our foundation, clarified our vision, and reinforced the importance of patience, resilience, and long-term thinking in building a brand that lasts.
