Exploring Life & Business with Jessica Papp of XL Securities

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Papp.

Jessica Papp

Hi Jessica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my business back in 2017 after a lot of life changes. I wasn’t sure how it would go, but I took the plunge and truly believed in myself despite the kickback. At the time, I also returned to college and finished my master’s in criminal justice and then continued to my doctorate. Many days, I worked, but I knew it would be worth it once I gained the reputation and business.

Flash forward to 2022. My business has grown so much that I decided to partner up with another lady in my area who had a similar experience and background. That was the extra boost I needed to really take things off. It was great to have someone to bounce ideas off, discuss things, and help out.

We have since taken on a lot more work, networked with multiple agencies, and gained more business. Our business now has three employees to help with various tasks.

I mostly work picking up warrants for our bondsmen. I have a wonderful working relationship with several law enforcement agencies, and while they help out, I also help them out.

We provide process service, surveillance, criminal defense cases, reports, and fugitive recovery.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not so much. While I had the experience and knowledge to do it, I didn’t have the reputation. It took about two years to gain trust and establish friendships with others. I also dealt with difficulties during COVID, misunderstandings/uneducated issues from other agencies who weren’t familiar with my laws/rules/how we operate, and, of course, dealing with the job/people itself.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about XL Securities LLC?
We offer process services, criminal defense, asset recovery, surveillance, fugitive recovery, and background checks. We are woman-owned in a male-dominated career. We bring a lot of experience, education, and a great reputation to the table.

We are most known for our fugitive recovery and success rate with it.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Not everyone wants you to succeed or is your friend. You have to do what’s best for you and stand your ground, even if it upsets others. You just won’t be everyone’s cup of tea so learn to pick your battles.
