Exploring Life & Business with Kevin Dibia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevin Dibia.

Hi Kevin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My first thoughts of becoming a realtor/investor came from deep talks with my father after graduating college and securing a job in Austin. He described to me in a way that I completed the first part of my journey and that there’s so much more out there. I knew after those kinds of conversations that my growth as a person was far from finished. The icing on the cake was when I purchased my first home at 23 years old and naturally became the real estate guru amongst my young peers and friends. It was an area of expertise that not a lot of people knew about at that age and me being able to help those (without my license at the time) felt natural. Like it was my calling. I knew I was eventually going to get my license and be deeply involved in real estate for years to come.

A few years later, after completing my master’s, I then obtained my real estate license and started helping others as well as helping myself as an investor.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely has been a lot of challenges. From an agent perspective, things have always been a little unorthodox because of COVID-19 and then the extreme soar of prices in 2021. Helping others buy a home in this type of market can be difficult but extremely rewarding. From an investor perspective, I completed my first house flip and that came with a bunch of challenges on its own. Finding additional problems in the home which affected our overall budget was a primary one but we still had a rewarding turnout at the completion of the flip.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a real estate agent who specializes in residential sales, leases, new home sales and apartments. I also have the ability to do commercial sales as well. What sets me apart is that I’m willing to do business outside of just the Austin area. I’m willing to do above and beyond for clients who also are looking for homes in San Antonio and Dallas. As a realtor and investor, I also have knowledge about those areas, which sets me apart from other realtors. I think the best part about my business and just me as a realtor is that I’m very relatable. Finding a house for a client is only the surface-level step. I’m looking to be your real estate go-to person for years to come and develop friendships along the way.

How do you define success?
Personally, success for me is having the ability constantly value where you are at while still driving to be better in all aspects of life. When this level of balance is mastered, it creates a state of joy while you’re still working to consistently elevating all at the same time. You’ve obtained success if this is mastered. Some people might not see it but it’s only a matter of time. As Mohammad Ali said, “I’m the greatest, I said that before I knew I was.”
