I’m a proud Texas native, originally from a small town where community and creativity were always close to my heart. After high school, I moved to San Marcos and never looked back—this vibrant area has been home for over 20 years. It’s where I met my husband in college, and together we’ve built a beautiful life in Buda, raising our two amazing daughters.
My career has always revolved around the event industry, but over time, I felt a strong pull toward the creative side of celebrations. That passion led me to launch my custom balloon design company, BuDa POP, just over a year ago. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into a business that brings joy, color, and personality to every event.
Designing each balloon installation is deeply rewarding—I pour care and attention into every detail. Seeing my work become the centerpiece of a celebration, captured in countless photos and memories, is the ultimate compliment. BuDa POP isn’t just about balloons—it’s about elevating moments and making them unforgettable.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
While running BuDa POP has been incredibly rewarding, it comes with its fair share of challenges—especially when it comes to pricing and expectations. Many clients bring in extravagant Pinterest-inspired photo ops, not realizing the difference between mass-produced, low-quality balloons and the premium materials I use. I source only high-end balloons that offer rich, vibrant color and longer-lasting durability—far superior to the “cheap” options found online. This commitment to quality is a core part of my brand, but it can sometimes be a surprise to those unfamiliar with the craft.
Another common misconception is the sheer volume of balloons required to create a stunning installation. Most of my designs use anywhere from 200 to 300 balloons, depending on the size and layout. Pricing is based on square footage, with rates typically ranging from $25 to $35 per square foot depending on the complexity of the setup. It’s a labor-intensive art form that blends creativity with precision.
