Our journey began in early 2021. At that time, Yam was working as a garage door service technician, and I (Merav) was selling hair tools at the mall. Our lives took an unexpected turn one Tuesday morning when I was involved in a hit-and-run accident, which resulted in a fractured left ankle and bruised knees. Unable to stand for the 8 to 10 hours my job demanded, I found myself at a crossroads during my recovery.
Yam and I used this time to brainstorm how I could contribute and stay productive. I chose to dive into online marketing, a field that quickly fascinated me, and Yam supported me by sharing insights from his daily experiences in the garage door industry. Our combined skills and passions naturally led us to launch Infinity Garage Door Service fifteen months later.
Over the past two years, our business has grown beyond just repairs and installations. We’ve focused on creating enjoyable experiences and forging lasting relationships within our community. Yam’s expertise has been crucial in training our team and ensuring quality service, while my role has evolved to manage our marketing efforts and customer relations. Together, we’ve faced challenges and celebrated milestones, always striving to provide exceptional service.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road, but then again, life isn’t meant to be smooth. The twists and turns make life interesting and running our business enjoyable. One of our main challenges has been improving focus and organization within our company. To address this, we recently hired an assistant. Another significant struggle is bringing on new customers. The Austin metro area is highly competitive with many established players, making us somewhat of an underdog. Despite these hurdles, we believe that by strengthening our organizational structure and enhancing our customer experiences, we can stand out in this crowded market. We embrace the journey and the difficult days because they make us stronger and more resilient. We see challenges as opportunities to grow, both as a business and as individuals.
