Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Guerrero.

Hi Monica , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
After 18 years in dentistry, one decision changed the direction of my life and I never looked back. When I first learned about microblading, I knew it was something I was going to make happen! I had always loved brows and understood the confidence they can bring, so taking that leap of faith into the brow business felt natural. My background in dentistry gave me a strong foundation in precision, detail, and client care, which has translated into my work. Over time, that decision has grown into a thriving business built on trust, artistry, and long term client relationships- one I’m proud to be celebrating eight years in business today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges early on was building a consistent clientele while also learning to step into business ownership and wear every hat. On a very real level, this work comes with the responsibility of working on different faces, skin types, expectations, and emotions-no two clients are the same. Learning how to listen, educate, manage expectations, and create results that feel authentic to each person took time and experience.

As the business grew another challenge was staying adaptable in an ever- evolving industry while protecting my standards, time, and energy. Growth required patience, boundaries, and the confidence to say no when needed. Looking back, those challenges shaped not only my artistry, but my leadership and the way I show up for my clients and my business

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business was built on genuine love for brows and the confidence they can bring to someone. I specialize in customized brow services including Nano Brows, Powder Brows, Brow Threading, Henna Brows, as well as Tiny Tattoos. I’m known for creating natural looking results that enhance each clients features rather than change them, and for taking the time to truly understand what each person wants and needs.

What sets my work apart is my approach to people as much as my approach to artistry. Every face, background, and comfort level is different, and I believe great results start with listening. I place a strong emphasis on consultation, education, and designing brows that feel authentic to my clients. My background in precision- based career shaped my attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistency, and those values still guide my work today.

Beyond services, Im proud to offer education and training for artists who want to grow with intention and confidence. What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built- clients who been with me for years, many who travel to see me. I want readers to know that my brand is rooted in care, integrity, and long-term relationships and that everything I offer is designed to help people feel confident, comfortable, and seen.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risk-taking has been a defining part of my journey. Stepping away from an 18 year career in dentistry to pursue the brow industry was one of the most personal and intimidating decisions Ive made. It meant trusting myself, starting over in many ways and being able to grow in unfamiliar territory. Beyond that initial leap risk taking has continued to show up in quieter maybe more behind the scene ways- investing in education, evolving my services, setting boundaries, and choosing growth even when it felt uncomfortable. Each risk was taken with intention, and over time those decisions have helped shape not only my business but my confidence personally.
