Today we’d like to introduce you to Ololade Omokpo.
Hi ololade, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began my career as a psychiatry nurse, working closely with individuals across the lifespan who were navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions. Being on the frontlines of mental health care gave me a deep understanding of how profoundly emotional wellness impacts every area of a person’s life. I witnessed resilience, vulnerability, and the transformative power of compassionate, evidence-based treatment.
Over time, I realized I wanted to expand my role beyond bedside nursing and become more directly involved in diagnosing, treating, and guiding long-term mental health care. That desire led me to pursue my Master’s degree and become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. My advanced training allowed me to integrate psychotherapy, medication management, and holistic support into a collaborative treatment approach.
As my experience grew, so did my vision. I wanted to create a space that felt safe, empowering, and centered on renewal — a place where individuals could begin again without shame. That vision led me to open my private practice (RoseHill Behavioral Health Care), where I now provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing treatment for adolescents and adults.
Today, my work is rooted in the belief that healing is possible for everyone. Mental health care is not just about reducing symptoms; it is about restoring confidence, clarity, and hope. Every step of my journey has strengthened my commitment to helping individuals reclaim their peace and step fully into the life they deserve.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Like many healthcare professionals, I faced moments of burnout, self-doubt, and the emotional weight that comes with caring for others in their most vulnerable states. Mental health work is deeply meaningful, but it can also be heavy. Learning how to care for myself while caring for others was a journey in itself.
Transitioning from psychiatry nurse to Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner also came with challenges. Advancing my education while working required discipline, sacrifice, and resilience. There were long nights, financial investment, and moments where I questioned whether I could balance it all. But each challenge strengthened my confidence and clarified my purpose.
Opening Rose Hill Behavorial Healthcare brought a new set of obstacles. Moving from clinician to business owner meant stepping into leadership, decision-making, and entrepreneurship — areas that are not always taught in clinical training. I had to learn how to build systems, establish boundaries, trust my expertise, and grow through uncertainty.
Looking back, the struggles were necessary. They shaped my empathy, strengthened my faith in myself, and deepened my commitment to creating a sustainable, compassionate practice. The road hasn’t been perfect, but it has been purposeful — and every challenge has contributed to the professional and leader I am today.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Rose Hill Behavioral Healthcare is built on the foundation of renewal, clarity, and compassionate mental health care. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, insomnia, and major life transitions.
What sets my practice apart is the balance between clinical excellence and human connection. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I approach treatment from both a medical and holistic perspective. I don’t believe in rushed appointments or one-size-fits-all care. Every treatment plan is individualized, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practice.
I am especially known for creating a safe, non-judgmental space where high-functioning individuals — particularly strong women, professionals, and caregivers — feel seen beyond their accomplishments. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed while still “holding it all together” on the outside. My work focuses not only on symptom reduction but on helping them restore peace, confidence, emotional regulation, and balance.
Brand-wise, I am most proud that my practice represents new beginnings. Everything about the brand — from the tone to the patient experience — reflects warmth, professionalism, and empowerment. Clients often tell me they feel heard for the first time. That trust is something I deeply value.
I want readers to know that mental health care does not have to feel intimidating. It can be approachable, collaborative, and transformative. My goal is to provide care that is thorough, ethical, and deeply compassionate — care that helps individuals move from survival mode into sustainable wellness.
At its core, my brand stands for this: healing is possible, growth is intentional, and you do not have to navigate life alone.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Individuals can work with me by scheduling a psychiatric evaluation through my private practice, Rose Hill Behavioral Healthcare, where I provide personalized medication management and supportive therapy for adolescents and adults.
I welcome collaboration with therapists, primary care providers, and organizations who value integrated mental health care. I’m also available for speaking engagements and wellness workshops focused on emotional resilience and burnout prevention.
Supporting my work can be as simple as referring others, sharing resources, and helping reduce the stigma around mental health.
