Today we’d like to introduce you to Ramin Jahedi
Hi Ramin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story begins in 1993 when I arrived in the United States with little more than a dream—limited resources, limited English, and a whole lot of determination. I started as a dishwasher, scrubbing plates and learning the ropes of the food-service world. Step by step, I worked my way up, eventually founding Piccolo Italian Restaurant in Austin, Texas—a milestone that taught me resilience and the value of hard work. But I didn’t stop there. I transitioned into corporate America, taking on key roles at companies like Carey International, Jack in the Box, Bennigan’s, and Blockbuster Corporation, where I honed my skills in leadership and strategy.
Today, I’m the CEO and Founder of Black Ops Agency, where I get to blend my passion for storytelling with digital innovation, helping brands amplify their voices through video marketing and go-to-market strategies. Along the way, I developed the C.E.O. Model—Connect, Educate, Offer—because I’ve learned that authentic relationships are the foundation of success, whether in business or life. I also host Talk2Rami, a podcast where I share inspiring stories from people of all walks of life, because I truly believe everyone has a lesson to teach.
It’s been a journey of grit, growth, and gratitude. I’m proud of where I am today—leading an agency, speaking to audiences worldwide, and raising three incredible kids with my wife—but I’m even more excited to keep connecting, learning, and helping others find their own path.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road—far from it. When I arrived in the U.S. in 1993, I barely spoke English and had next to nothing in my pockets. Starting as a dishwasher wasn’t glamorous, and there were days I wondered if I’d ever move forward. Language barriers made every interaction a challenge, and I had to push through self-doubt while figuring out a new country and culture. Building Piccolo Italian Restaurant was another uphill climb—long hours, tight budgets, and the pressure of proving myself in a competitive industry tested my resolve.
Transitioning to corporate America brought its own struggles. I had to adapt to new environments, earn respect in unfamiliar roles, and balance ambition with the realities of corporate dynamics. Even founding Black Ops Agency wasn’t without hurdles—convincing clients to trust a new vision, refining the C.E.O. Model, and staying ahead in the fast-paced digital world took persistence and plenty of late nights.
But those struggles shaped me. They taught me resilience, the power of connection, and that setbacks are just setups for growth. Every obstacle reinforced my belief that success isn’t about avoiding the rough patches—it’s about pushing through them with purpose.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
The quality I feel is most important to my success is resilience. Life hasn’t always handed me a clear path—moving to the U.S. with limited resources, starting as a dishwasher, building a restaurant from scratch, and navigating the ups and downs of corporate America and entrepreneurship taught me that setbacks are inevitable. But it’s the ability to keep pushing forward, to adapt, and to find opportunity in every challenge that’s carried me through. Resilience isn’t just about enduring; it’s about learning from every experience and using it to fuel growth. It’s what drives me at Black Ops Agency to turn obstacles into breakthroughs for our clients, and it’s what keeps me connecting with people through Talk2Rami and beyond. For me, success isn’t about avoiding the hard moments—it’s about rising stronger from them.
