Today we’d like to introduce you to Reena Saluja.
Hi Reena, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Started my teaching career in India prior to marriage. Moved to the US in 1998 and re-established myself by getting a diploma and fulfilling criteria to teach in the US. I moved to Texas in 2003 and started teaching in local preschools for a few years and then opened up a home care preschool in 2008. After a few years it was time to move out and expand as I had a backlog/waiting list of two years. I have been at my current location for 6 years and proud to say we were voted the number one preschool in all of Round Rock for 2025 by BusinessRate. Teaching has always been my passion and I love to work with toddlers. Not only do I teach them but I learn everyday from the kiddos in my care.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Biggest bump in the road that I faced was having to move out of my home based preschool due to HOA regulations. Then we struggled due to covid and had to start all over again. Proud to say that we fought all along and never gave up.

Learning House Preschool has always been ay part of me that I feel is growing with me each and every day. I am proud and eager to come open my preschool every morning. LHP is a Montessori inspired early childhood program dedicated to nurturing confident, independent, and curious learners. We provide a warm and supportive environment where children learn through hands on activities, practical life experiences, and early academic foundations such as phonics and number work.
What sets us apart is our balance between Montessori materials and structured learning, helping children build both independence and strong academic readiness. Our classrooms focus on social development, real world skills and fostering a genuine love for learning.

What matter most to us at LHP is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported. Early childhood is such an important stage of development and we believe children thrive when they feel secure, confident and encouraged to explore the world around them.
