Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Scantlin
Hi Stacey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into entrepreneurship started at a young age when I launched a scrapbook-making business in elementary school. That early passion for creating and selling led me to start several small businesses throughout my childhood.
While in college, I took things to the next level by opening Sell It Now Austin, an eBay consignment business that helped people sell their items online. After graduating, I transitioned into the beauty industry, founding Lone Star Beauty Supply, which serviced local Austin-area salons.
At 29, I sold Lone Star Beauty Supply and embarked on a transformative journey to Costa Rica for a three-week yoga teacher training. Upon my return, I combined my love for animals and yoga by launching goat yoga classes on my ranch in Copperas Cove.
After my divorce and selling the ranch, I opened Peaceful Warrior Yoga Studio in Austin. This studio became a sanctuary for mindfulness and movement, but like many businesses, it was forced to close during the COVID-19 pandemic.
That transition led me to Inner Diva Studios, where I took ownership and continued my passion for community, movement, and empowerment. Through Inner Diva, I have been able to carry on my love of animal yoga with puppy and kitten yoga classes, which have now raised over $150,000 for local animal rescues.
Today, Inner Diva Studios has evolved into more than just a studio—it’s a powerful, uplifting space for women to come together, support one another, and find strength through movement. It’s been an incredible journey, and I can’t wait to see where it leads next!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I don’t think any business journey is completely smooth—entrepreneurship comes with its fair share of challenges and setbacks.
One of the biggest personal and professional struggles I faced was going through a divorce. No matter the circumstances, it’s a life-altering event that requires emotional resilience and, in my case, major shifts in my business and personal life. Selling my ranch and closing that chapter was difficult, but it ultimately pushed me toward new opportunities.
Another major challenge was closing Peaceful Warrior Yoga Studio due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was incredibly disappointing to see something I had built with passion and dedication come to an end because of circumstances beyond my control. Like so many other small business owners, I had to pivot, adapt, and find new ways to move forward.
Despite these struggles, I’ve always believed that every setback is an opportunity for growth. These experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of community. They led me to Inner Diva Studios, where I’ve been able to create an empowering space for women and continue my passion for movement, connection, and giving back through puppy and kitten yoga.
The road hasn’t always been smooth, but it has shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today—someone who embraces challenges, learns from failures, and keeps pushing forward.
We’ve been impressed with Inner Diva Studios, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Inner Diva Studios is more than just a fitness and movement studio—it’s a community, an experience, and a safe space for self-expression. We specialize in pole dance, aerial arts, heels choreography, and unique fitness classes designed to empower, uplift, and inspire confidence in women of all backgrounds.
One of the things that truly sets us apart is our dedication to creating an inclusive, supportive, and judgment-free space. Whether you’re stepping into the studio for the first time or you’re a seasoned performer, our classes are designed to build strength, embrace sensuality, and foster personal growth. We offer beginner-friendly options alongside advanced training, ensuring that every student finds their own journey of empowerment.
Beyond movement, we are also known for our animal yoga fundraisers. Our puppy and kitten yoga classes have raised over $150,000 for local animal rescues, helping to connect adoptable pets with loving homes. It’s something I am incredibly proud of—it allows us to blend fitness, fun, and philanthropy in a truly unique way.
Inner Diva Studios is about more than just movement—it’s about finding your power, stepping outside your comfort zone, and embracing your most confident, fearless self. Whether you’re here to build strength, explore creativity, or just have fun, we’re here to cheer you on every step of the way.
Any big plans?
The future is incredibly exciting, both personally and professionally! I’m currently in law school and have aspirations to one day run for a judgeship. My entrepreneurial journey has given me a deep understanding of business, contracts, and advocacy, and I look forward to using that knowledge to make a meaningful impact in the legal field.
On a personal level, I have remarried and have two beautiful children, with another on the way! Balancing motherhood, business ownership, and law school has been a challenge, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. My journey has always been about growth, resilience, and pushing boundaries, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds.
At Inner Diva Studios, I plan to continue expanding our offerings, fostering an empowering community, and growing our impact—both through movement and our puppy and kitten yoga fundraisers, which have already raised over $150,000 for local rescues.
Ultimately, my goal is to continue creating spaces—whether in the studio or the courtroom—where people feel heard, supported, and empowered to be their best selves.
