Exploring Life & Business with Stormy Caldwell of Texas Lymphatic Clinic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stormy Caldwell

Hi Stormy, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey in the field of lymphatics began in 2020 after graduating nursing school. Upon a great deal of research regarding the lymphatic system, I was taken back by how this anatomical structure didn’t receive more recognition in our medical world and general health platform. I became eager to learn more, and help educate others on the importance of this highly overlooked system. While living in Dallas, I graciously received the unique opportunity to work alongside an expert within the lymphatic industry who I shadowed for three years and gained invaluable knowledge from along the way. I became advanced certified in Dr. Vodder’s technique for MLD and worked with patients from various health backgrounds. Unfortunately, my dad, who’s also my best-friend, unexpectedly began having strokes during this time, and making regular visits to the hospital – The strokes then followed a cancer diagnosis to 3 cervical nodes in his neck. I made the decision to uproot my life and career to be closer to him, which brought me to Austin. Though tragedy seemed to have struck, the good Lord and a really great doctor would later miraculously heal my dad. I believe it was divine intervention that also brought me to Westlake Lymphatic in Austin at this time, where I would be given the amazing opportunity to further expand my lymphatic practice. I became lead lymphatic therapist at Westlake Lymphatic and stayed with this company until the wonderful owner and now great friend, Cassandra Bradford, decided to retire and close the doors. Upon her closing the doors, her wishes were that I continue the legacy of the beloved Westlake Lymphatic brand. Honored by this beautiful opportunity to carry on the values and expertise of this amazing sanctuary for many – I founded Texas Lymphatic Clinic. TLC is a mobile company solely dedicated to serving those in need of manual lymphatic drainage care. We specialize in Post-op and General Lymphatic Wellness, using Dr. Vodder’s technique in MLD therapy to help heal a wide range of clientele from various health backgrounds and surgery history. I proudly work with doctors in Austin and surrounding areas, bringing exceptional care to all patients they entrust to me. The relationships developed with both physicians and patients, are my absolute top priority. I’m fully invested in each individual I work with, and the goal for me and my growing business will always be optimal health for each client. I absolutely love what I do and can’t wait to see where this journey leads.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting any business comes with adversity, but overcoming challenges instills grit. The road leading up to launching Texas Lymphatic Clinic wasn’t always a walk in the park, but since it’s official opening I’ve been overcome with gratitude for the immense support from many. I credit the doctors I’ve developed trust with over the years through delivering transformative patient results in my therapies, and my loyal client following, for this great success.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Texas Lymphatic Clinic is a mobile service dedicated to serving those with Manual Lymphatic Drainage needs, specializing in Post-op and General Lymphatic Wellness. We serve Austin, Texas and surrounding areas.

TLC brings a lymphatic oasis to the comfort of your home. Our specialty, MLD, is a light touch, painless therapy that involves manually moving lymphatic fluid to help expedite it out of the body. TLC works with general and advanced cases, providing life changing results.

One of our lymphatic systems main roles is to help cleanse our bodies of toxins, and when we experience congestion in this system, symptoms follow that can affect our overall health and wellbeing. A few reasons we experience stagnation in our lymphatic system is due to surgery, health ailments, and overall inactive lifestyles. Tending to your lymphatic system, will improve quality of life. My appointments include more than just the average session, as I patient educate ways to increase lymph flow, and teach on foundations of health so that my clients are empowered to also assist their own bodies.

I currently operate on my own as a therapist, but plan to bring other specialists on my team in the very near future. What sets my business apart is my high standards of care, as well as background and expertise as an Advanced MLD therapist. My nursing background set a solid foundation of overall knowledge regarding human anatomy and disease processes; having the opportunity of a lifetime working years alongside two of the greats within the world of lymphatics, catapulted my understanding of the lymphatic system, putting me years ahead in my career, which I’m forever humbled by and grateful for.

My sessions are known for helping transform lives, and I’ve been immensely blessed to be a part of many success stories.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Something surprising about me, that people don’t know is that I can speak some Tagalog, and spent 3 months working overseas in the Philippines at an orphanage. While there I developed a multivitamin using local farms for ingredients, and provided the children with nutritional supplementation through that formula. One of my many career goals is to launch that same formula here in the states.
