Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanisha Trout.
Hi Tanisha , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. With a Bachelor’s in Business Management and an MBA, I knew I was destined to build something of my own. What I didn’t know is that my journey would begin with something so personal…my health.
I grew up overweight as a child and teenager, and after having my son Liam in 2013, I made the decision to reclaim my life. I went on to lose over 100 pounds through fitness, discipline, and most importantly, nutrition. Understanding the power of food, especially protein, completely changed my life. My story was eventually featured in People Magazine, Women’s Health, Inside Edition, and several other national platforms, which not only expanded my reach but deepened my passion for helping others find balance and joy in their own journeys.
Fitness and nutrition continue to be a huge part of my life, and I love that charcuterie offers both indulgence and intention. It’s beautiful, balanced, and versatile.
In 2024, while planning my wedding (September 2024 bride), I searched for an interactive charcuterie cart experience to elevate our cocktail hour but couldn’t find anything that matched the vision in my head. All that was available were grazing tables and traditional platters. That moment sparked the idea that would become Honeycomb Harvest.
We had our first custom cart built in February 2025 and officially launched on March 24, 2025. The response was incredible. We gained over 2,000 Instagram followers in the first 55 days and quickly began booking events across the Austin area.
Now, we’re building our second cart and expanding into vending machines to offer our protein-packed charcuterie boxes and other nutritious snacks in gyms, fitness studios, and lifestyle spaces. It’s a beautiful blend of everything I love: faith, food, entrepreneurship, and making people feel cared for.
And this is just the beginning.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s still the beginning for us, but if I’ve learned anything so far, it’s that the biggest challenge in entrepreneurship is often getting out of your own way. Managing your time, staying disciplined, and refusing to limit your vision are all constant growth points. It’s easy to put yourself in a box or play it safe, but real progress happens when you stretch yourself and fully lean into what’s possible.
While we haven’t hit any major roadblocks yet, I’m sure they’ll come. But I have no doubt that with faith, determination, and the innovative team I’m building, we’ll be ready to face them and keep moving forward.
As you know, we’re big fans of Honeycomb Harvest, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Honeycomb Harvest is a luxury charcuterie catering company based in Austin, Texas, known for our beautifully styled, protein-forward grazing experiences and our signature mobile charcuterie cart. We specialize in creating interactive, elevated food displays that bring people together, whether it’s for weddings, corporate events, baby showers, or brand activations.
What sets us apart is not just the presentation, but the purpose behind everything we do. Our cart is not only a pretty setup, it’s a creative blend of balance, nutrition, and beauty as well. As someone who has personally transformed my life through food and wellness, I’m passionate about offering something that feels indulgent yet nourishing. We’re known for our fresh ingredients, artistic styling, and seamless service that turns a typical snack moment into a lasting memory.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how quickly we’ve built connection and excitement around what we do. In less than two months, we gained over 2,000 Instagram followers, secured high-end bookings, and have begun expanding into vending machines to make our charcuterie protein boxes and other nutritious snacks more accessible to health-conscious individuals across the city and beyond.
Honeycomb Harvest is more than just charcuterie, it’s about experience, innovation, and intention. I want readers to know that we’re not just here to cater an event. We’re here to make it feel unforgettable, beautiful, and one-of-a-kind. We’re committed to delivering flavor, style, and substance in everything we do.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
As a Texas-born and raised girly, what I love most about our state is the genuine friendliness. Here, everyone is family. That sense of warmth and connection is something I carry into my business every day.
When it comes to Austin specifically, I absolutely love the city’s focus on health, fitness, and community. It aligns so well with the values and mission of Honeycomb Harvest. There’s an energy here that inspires creativity, wellness, and connection and that’s exactly what we strive to bring to every event we serve.
If I had to pick something I like least, it might be the traffic (who doesn’t say that?), but honestly, the culture and vibrancy of Austin more than make up for it.
