Today we’d like to introduce you to Will Loconto.
Hi Will, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve had a diverse career path: recording artist, creating music and sound for games, television, and film, CEO of a medical software company, owner of a pumpkin patch, a dance store wasn’t always part of the plan.
As a musical artist, my band T-4-2 was signed to Columbia Records and I spent several years performing with the critically acclaimed group Information Society.
My work is featured in 100+ video game projects, including Rayman Raving Rabbids, Aliens vs. Predator 2: Primal Hunt, Richard Garriott’s Tabula Rasa, American McGee’s Alice, X-Men: The Official Game, Rage, and Big Hero 6: Battle in the Bay.
I served as Audio Director at the video game company Ion Storm, with some of my experiences there chronicled in David Kushner’s book Masters of Doom and Rick Lane’s PC Gamer Magazine feature, “The History of Ion Storm.” I co-founded the game studio Third Law Interactive before launching my own audio production company, which I have run for over two decades. I’ve also lectured at Southern Methodist University’s Guildhall and The Art Institute of Austin.
Additionally, I’m a co-founder of Uhland Fall Fest, formerly the Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival.

My daughter Reagan, who began dancing at three years old, advanced to competitions, and is now in her junior year as a dance major at Sam Houston State University is a co-owner of Texas Dance Supply.
In 2019, we identified a need for a dance retail store in the Dripping Springs area and opened our doors. The store has grown steadily ever since.
Seeing firsthand what dance has done for my daughter has inspired me to help other families in the community create their own positive experiences through dance. Whether fitting a first pair of tap shoes, preparing company dancers for competitions, or supporting professional dancers and productions, we strive to bring the joy of dance to as many families as we can.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. The week we first opened the doors of our Texas Dance Supply storefront, was the week all businesses were locked down during COVID.
Recovering from that, we still are in a constant battle as a family-owned small business competing with Amazon. Luckily, inconsistent sizing and counterfeit products remind customers why personal service and trying things on are important and actually save time. Using our studio and school discounts, it’s not cheaper online.
We’ve been impressed with Texas Dance Supply, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Texas Dance Supply is family-owned and operated. We curate the finest selection of dance apparel and accessories tailored to meet the needs of dancers at every level. From beginners taking their first steps to seasoned professionals, we’ve got you covered.
We’re not just a store; we’re a community built around the love for dance.
Here’s why dancers and their families choose us: We’re dedicated to providing exceptional service both in-store and online. Satisfaction and success as a dancer are our top priorities. As fellow dance parents, we understand the challenges and joys of nurturing a dancer. It’s an absolute privilege to support our dancers, offering guidance and encouragement along the way.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Always expand your horizons. You never know who or what might be your next opportunity. Many times, helping someone else with their problems can open the door to new opportunities for growth and positivity.
