Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Alexander.
Hi Aaron, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In my earlier years, I was feeling quite insecure and chose to insulate insecurity with muscle, so I got really obsessed with bodybuilding. That obsession then led to various injuries and imbalances. Finally, I commenced the process of putting the pieces together, which is what I am still doing now! Every day is a new learning experience for me, as well as healing my body inside and out through supportive, daily movement. I am a manual therapist and movement coach, founder and creator of the Align Method, author of the Align Method book, and host of the Align Podcast.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have struggled on my path with sensations of feeling like I did not know my place, imposter syndrome, and things of that sort. I struggled with having access to other people that shared similar mindsets and interests in the information I was interested in. That’s why I created the Align Podcast–so I could connect and talk with people and experts in these fields and to share that information with other people like me!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Align Podcast?
I am a pioneering manual therapist and movement coach, founder and creator of the Align Method, author of the Align Method book, and host of the Align Podcast.
I am most proud of my relationships with mentors and teachers, the Align community, the people that are following the podcast and book, as well as the change that my work and passion has created in people’s lives.
What sets me apart is my relationship in bridging connections between the mind and body, as well as bridging the connections between fitness and lifestyle.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory is waking up early, going to the rink to play ice hockey as a 6-10 years old boy, and going to Canada for hockey games in Ontario. That was really fun! Growing up and starting to learn about being on a team and feeling comfortable and confident in ice hockey was a great memory for me and helped shape me into the person I am today.
