Hi Amy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Tasty Amy’s is truly a family creation, built on love, tradition, and the joy of sharing good food. The inspiration came from my husband Mike’s beloved salsa recipe, something our family and friends had enjoyed for years. With their encouragement, I decided to follow a lifelong dream: sharing that salsa with the world.
My son-in-law Shay brought the brand to life with the name “Tasty Amy’s,” and my daughter Krishna designed our beautiful logo. Their support helped turn this dream into a reality. Together, we launched with three core products: salsa, tikka sauce, and our signature meltaway cookies.
Thanks to our amazing customers, we’ve continued to grow. By listening to their feedback, we expanded our offerings to include a spicier salsa, a bold new tikka sauce, and our warmly spiced vanilla chai meltaway cookies.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a new business is always a mix of excitement and uncertainty. It’s thrilling, but also incredibly daunting. When we launched in November, we faced the challenges of cold, windy days at the markets—juggling tents, displays, and keeping our products safe and presentable.
As we began to grow faster than expected, we quickly found ourselves transitioning to manufacturing in a commercial kitchen—something we never imagined we’d need to navigate so soon. It’s been a learning curve, but every step has brought us closer to our dream.
We’ve been impressed with Tasty Amy’s, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

When a fellow vendor shared that she couldn’t try our tikka sauce because it wasn’t vegan, I knew I had to do something.
I went back to the kitchen and made a small batch of vegan tikka sauce using organic coconut milk—and I was thrilled when she told me how much she loved it. Now she can enjoy it anytime she wants, and that means the world to me.
Moments like these remind me why I started Tasty Amy’s: to share food that brings joy, comfort, and inclusivity to every table. I feel incredibly grateful to be able to do what I love while making a difference in someone’s day—one jar at a time.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned on this journey is that while starting Tasty Amy’s was my dream, it would never have become a reality without the unwavering support of my family—and it certainly wouldn’t have come this far without the love and encouragement of the incredible people I’ve met along the way.
Although I’ve spent much of my career in retail, healthcare, and hospitality, nothing has brought me more joy than being part of Tasty Amy’s. It’s deeply fulfilling to see how our products bring smiles to people from all walks of life and cultures. That connection through food is truly special.
